Why did JUST MILK get involved?

JUST MILK has been a partner of National Baking Week for four years now and has loved every minute of it. As a key ingredient in all manner of sauces, puddings, cakes, desserts and pastries, milk is one of the cornerstones of baking, and JUST MILK is proud of the quality it offers.

By getting involved, JUST IMILK want to encourage Britain to get baking again so that the next generation can remember their mother’s cooking as fondly as we remember ours.

The chance to support Great Ormond Street Hospital was the icing on the cake this year (no pun intended), as they deserve every penny they get for the great work!

JUST MILK is available in Skimmed, Semi-Skimmed or Whole varieties in both multi-packs and singles. You can find JUST MILK in most Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Ocado, Costco and Makro Stores.

Just Milk Hints & Tips

I'm worried about the fat content in regular milk
If you love milk but are concerned about the fat content, consider swapping to JUST MILK. Many people find skimmed UHT creamier than their normal milk so are able to swap down a fat level without sacrificing flavour. If you’re used to semi-skimmed you may find skimmed JUST MILK is just as creamy and tastes exactly the same.
How do i avoid lumpy pancackes?
Avoid lumps with JUST MILK Pancake mixture or any batter is always best with a high quality milk. To avoid lumps, make sure you use JUST MILK at room temperature. Pour the milk gently and gradually over flour, eggs and whisk well. If lumps have formed, you can get rid of them by sifting the batter and crush the lumps left over.
How do i stop milk boiling over?
Don’t boil milk! It’s the classic error people make when cooking with milk - leave it on the hob too long, turn your back for a moment and suddenly there’s milk all over the cooker and you’re left with a thoroughly tedious clean up operation and you’ve lost lots of lovely vitamins in the process. Always heat JUST MILK gently over a medium/low heat and never let the temperature exceed 80°C/180°F – use a thermometer if there’s one to hand.
